You can choose from different options of one, two or three hours a week. The online dialects and accent reduction classes take place online with 1 or 2 students maximum.

- Great for actors wanting to better their monologues, auditions and current/upcoming work.
- Suitable for people who need to give speeches or presentations in English.
- English practice for Spanish actors or people who are passionate about films and series.
In these 2-hour classes students will read and translate a different script each week, a short scene from a script which could come from a television, Netflix or HBO series, or perhaps a film or theatre script. Students will first perform readings of the script while seated and without any action or "acting", students will discuss the characters, the plot, the language, accent and slang used in the scene, and other important details, and then finally, students will act out the scene on the stage. The subjects vary widely each week, so that students are able to learn different vocabulary, different styles of speech, expressions and accents.
HOMEWORK
- Watching the scene or film before class - link will be provided
- Translating your scene into Spanish (or at times from Spanish to English)
- You will not need to learn lines prior to class - this will be accomplished in class!

WHO IS YOUR COACH
Your coach is Melanie, an experienced actor, writer and filmmaker, with 10+ years experience coaching actors in the US, Australia, Latin America, Asia, France and Spain. Melanie has worked on the stage, in front of and behind the camera, as well as in casting.
Melanie trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York and the Stella Adler Conservatory, she is specialized in teaching dialects and accent reduction to both actors and people in business. Melanie incorporates her own method of exercises for accent reduction, which include: repetition, re-spelling and physical exercises. She also uses a mix of the Strasberg, Adler and Meisner techniques when coaching actors.
Coaching sessions can easily be done online, on the stage in a local theatre house or on-camera using a green screen or natural background. Melanie works with beginners, actors who are currently in a training program, and with working actors who have booked specific scenes, series or films, helping them to prepare for these important moments. Melanie can also help with audition prep, prep before a shoot or with self tapes.
Business people wanting to improve their accent can also benefit from dialects classes. These are done online and use the same methods, of which, students can always see a big difference in their accent and in how they interact and are understood. Many business students will work with Melanie to prepare for important meetings or conferences, or to be more fluid, more confident and better understood in their everyday interaction with clients and colleagues.
