The surf and skate program will teach newcomers to surfing and skating, the tips, tricks and knowledge to get out there and pursue these sports, which will likely become lifelong passions. For pros, we offer you the opportunity to come and learn from other international surfers and skaters, network, and basically just take to the waves in a new and exciting location, and with an added twist.

While this program is about surfing and skating, it is also about adventuring. A major part of the program, is to give back to the community, through a few hours per day/week of volunteering, and the next big adventure... to make a film based on your surfing or skating experiences.

FOR NOVICE BOARDERS & PROS

While the excitement is most defintely in the hours spent out on the water or skating the streets, there is definitely another element of excitement when it comes to filming or photographing what you love to do. Those hours on your board, or perhaps filming as you volunteer with other surfers/skaters and then turning it into a short film (or maybe even a feature) or documetary film is priceless. You will be supplied with all the film/photo technique needed, story-telling skills, know-how and equipment --from HD underwater cameras to GoPros, crew, locations & actors as needed.

At the end of the Skate n Surf program, you will not only have had an awesome experience on a board halfway across the globe, but you will also have a new skills, new friends, have experienced a new culture, and will have a film to top it all off. Films will be sent to international film festivals, and photography projects to submitted to international galleries.

Film & Photo Element

Program includes: Surfboard hire, free new skateboard of your choosing, equipment hire for film, accommodation, volunteer fees, teacher and guide, and local trips including camping fees and transport.
