Are you an acting student? A working actor? Do you dreams of acting in a film with a foreign backdrop? Do you long to spice up your "boring" showreel? Then acting in one of our films, could be just what you need. Think of it as a productive holiday!
MORNINGS: In the first week, the mornings will be reserved for discovering the contrasts of traditional and contemporary Tokyo. After the first week, mornings will be reserved for rehearsal time, and any spare time will be left for participants to work on monologues and scenes for their showreels.
AFTERNOON: Actors will attend afternoon workshops where they will learn various acting techniques, from Strasberg and Stanislavski, to Meisner, Chekhov and Adler acting methods. Actors who would like to focus on one technique in particular, can request this upon application to the program. In these afternoon workshops actors will also have the opportunity to rehearse scenes or monogues for their showreel. However once production gets underway, these workshops will focus on the acting work to be performed for the films at hand.
Acting
Are you novice filmmaker or actor? Or have you already worked on a few films? Do you crave the backdrop of a foreign and exotic location where you can make an original film or documentary? Somewhere new, where you can tell an original story? Then this is likely what you are looking for! This filmmaking adventure is for both pros and novices, and is tailored to individuals and groups. Filmmakers will be in groups of 5 maximum, and each group will make a short film, or in some cases work towards a feature film, and have their turn at several roles in front and/or behind the camera.
MORNING: Participants will attend morning workshops where they will learn filmmaking skills, and how to use the cameras and equipment on hand. Screenplays are written and come to life in these morning workshops, as does the filmmaking process.
AFTERNOON: Afternoons will be reserved for visiting Tokyo in the first week, most especially film-inspired locations, and tasting a mix of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. After the first week, the afternoons will be reserved for pre production, production and post production.

Once you have completed it, there will be a gallery showing of your work, as well as an online gallery for you to show your work to your friends around the globe.
