ASANA CHAIR

  • Can people of all ages and fitness levels use Asana Chair?
Yes, Asana Chair is great for people of all ages and fitness levels. Please always be sure to ask your healthcare professional prior to using the chair however, if you suffer from any health issues, physical issues or previous injuries. People under the age of 16 should be supervised when using Asana Chair. Asana chair can be used by anyone, at any level of workout. For people who are new to yoga and perhaps not so flexible or steady on their feet, the Asana Chair will actually assist you in doing the poses, more than if you were to do them directly on the mat. For more advanced yoga practitioners, yoga inversions and other strength building poses can be performed with caution on the chair. When you are first attempting a new pose, we suggest having a wall behind you, a clear area around you, and if possible a teacher, trainer or friend who can guide you. For people who are in a more beginner or intermediate level of yoga and wish to do inversions, this is achievable by doing the prep work first, and then step-by-step working towards the inversion over time with a teacher or trainer.
  • How will I know how to adapt my poses to the Asana Chair?
Simple! When you order your Asana Chair, you will receive a beautiful colorful poster that you can choose to put up in your workout area or perhaps fold and open as needed. Our poster shows all the moves and sequences you can do on the Asana Chair. We also have a downloadable digital poster and booklet for our members to download anytime they like. We will also be releasing out Asana Chair Yoga Cards in the coming months, these can be a great help for workouts. Which leads me to the next thing... we will be uploading regular videos on social media and the website, that you will have free access to at any time. We are also always here, you can contact us through the chat, contact form or social media, if you would like some assistance or advice.

  • Will I get a discount if I share photos and videos on social media?
We love seeing people's progress and experience with Asana Chair, and we encourage this. Please tag us in your pics and vids! If you send us your pics and vids for us to use on our website and social media, you will be rewarded with 50% off our Asana products or 20% off another chair... maybe your friend or your mother wants to join in on the fun!
  • What should I do when I first try an inversion?
Please follow our instructions. You will see a photo, video and written explanation of how to take it step-by-step, against a wall, and preferably with a friend to spot you. Never rush the process, take your time, and trust your body, If you feel you are not ready, deep down inside, then take a little more time. There is no rush, you will get there soon enough.
  • What happens if I injure myself?
Most injuries seem to happen when someone might fall a little to the side and bang into furniture or other objects, this is why it is VERY important to have a clear space all around you, 2 meters (6' 5 inches) in each direction. If you do happen to injure yourself in anyway, do not continue using the Asana Chair and do not continue with any other exercise, but rather see a physiotherapist, osteopath or doctor for further advice. In many instances, stopping exercise for a few days or a week might be necessary.
  • I'm a pretty heavy guy/gal will the Asana Chair be safe for me to use?
Indeed it will! The Asana Chair has been tested to take up to 500kg (over 1000lbs). That being said, be careful in your inversions, everything is about weight placement and slow controlled movement. The chair is sturdy enough not to topple, however if you are on the heavier side, be sure to make your movements slow and controlled.
  • I would like to become an Asana Chair influencer, how do I go about it?
We are always happy to bring new people into the team. If you are interested, send us a message through our contact form on the website.
