Rhodochrosite Origins

Rhodochrosite evolved over millennia from a manganese and carbonate combo. Its gorgeous powder pink color and unique long cloudy white bands create a stunning contrast that's beautiful to wear or place in a room or shrine. First found in the silver mines of present-day Romania, it is now mostly mined in Capillitas, Argentina. The name is derived from the Greek word ῥοδόχρως, meaning rose-colored.
