Carnelian Origins

Known as the Stone of Courage in ancient cultures, it is found in many parts of the world, from the US to Scotland, India, the continent of South America and the island of Madagascar. Carnelian was thought throughout history to assist the wearer, usually a soldier, in battle. It was also used to assist with performances of importance or public speaking. Ancient Egyptians wore Carnelian to fill themselves with the courage they needed for battles and over centuries performing artists and public speakers have worn this fiery crystal to give them confidence and courage on the stage.

An important stone in history, it is one of the 12 stones that lined the walls of heaven in Revelations; and it was found inside King Tutankhamen's tomb and on his death mask; as well as on the breastplate of many great warriors, such as Moses' brother Aron, giving soldiers courage for battle.
